Westwood Management – Large cap value equities

Founded in 1983 by Susan Byrne, featured as one of five “World’s Greatest Investors” in a 2007 Smart Money article, Westwood’s portfolio team seeks high quality companies with prospects for future profitability that are significantly stronger than that reflected in the current stock price.

Portfolio Manager: Randall ("Randy") L. Root is a Senior Vice President and Trust Investment Officer.  Randy graduated from Washington & Lee University with a degree in Geology and obtaained his MBA from Southern Methodist University.  Randy joined Westwood in 1993 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2002.  He is responsible for asset allocation and separate account management of client portfolios.

 

Luther King Capital Management (LKCM) – Small cap equities

Founded in 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas, LKCM has a strategy that seeks long-term investment in a diversified portfolio of competitively advantaged small-cap companies with a goal to generate superior performance with lower volatility relative to the benchmark.

Steve R. Purvis, CFAPortfolio Manager: Steve R. Purvis, CFA is a Principal of LKCM and a former Director of Research.  He joined the company in 1996 and currently serves as the small-cap portfolio manager.  Prior to joining LKCM, Steve served as a senior analyst at Roulston Research and Waddell & Reed.  Mr. Purvis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - Columbia and an MBA from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

 

Thornburg Investment Management – International equities

Thornburg’s International ADR Strategy is invested throughout the world, normally with 100% of equity assets placed outside the U.S. via American Depository Receipts (ADRs). Thornburg’s ADR Strategy received Investment Advisor Magazine’s 2010 SMA Managers of the Year Award.  (See related Press Release)

LewisKaufman

Portfolio Manager: Lewis Kaufman, CFA joined Thornburg Investment Management in 2005 as an associate portfolio manager.  In 2006, he was promoted to co-portfolio manager for the ADR portfolio and named managing director.  Prior to joining Thornburg, Lewis held various investment related positions at Morgan Stanley and Citigroup.  Lewis holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and graduated Cum Laude from Colgate University with a BA in English.

 

WendyTrevisani

Portfolio Manager: Wendy Trevisani is a managing director and co-portfolio manager of the Thornburg International Value Fund as well as the International ADR portfolio.  Wendy joined Thornburg as an associate portfolio manager in 1999, and was named managing director in 2003.  Prior to joining Thornburg, Wendy began her investment career as an institutional sales and trading representative for Salomon Smith Barney in New York City and London.  Wendy received an MBA from Columbia University and graduated Cum Laude with a BA degree in International Relations from Bucknell University.

Compass seeks to provide a competitive level of out performance versus the market by pursuing a disciplined approach emphasizing sector selection in an intermediate high quality bond portfolio.

Archstone Partners, Gerber/Taylor Management, Maverick Stable - Alternative strategies

The alternative portfolio is divided among three hedge funds of funds. Investment objectives are to protect capital during declining markets while participating during market advances, to achieve returns with low volatility, and to minimize the possibility for capital loss.

Vanguard Growth ETF (VUG) – Large cap growth equities

The Foundation’s large cap growth domestic equity portfolio is currently invested in Vanguard’s large cap growth exchange traded fund.. VUG is designed to track the MSCI US Prime
